Today I'm sharing with you a great FREE curriculum I discovered some time ago! I think everyone who homeschools or loves to spend extra after school time teaching their children should know about it!
I discovered The Head of the Class a few years ago while looking for some free online lesson plans for my son.
Head of the Class is a complete free online curriculum, and I must say it is very well done!
Full of videos, worksheets, additional resources, as well as the option to teach the lessons online (a complete teacher's guide is provided). I was really impressed with the great art videos they provide and I am actually hoping to use them this summer! (As embarrassed as I am to say this, I haven't been great about teaching art!)
The complete online system includes a separate login for your child to log on, complete their lessons, and print out worksheets. A great interactive video or lesson is shown to teach. As I said before you can do it offline if you prefer, the teacher's guide includes the complete lesson, so even if you overslept and had no time to plan, you know what to say! (phew! we all have those days!)
You can set up different account for each of your children and they can all be traced by your own parent account. The curriculum can also be customized by choosing to have a certain subject more, less, or not at all, and you can choose different grade levels for different subjects too.
When your child completes something, you can also make a certificate for them. Assesments can also be scheduled to your liking!
