They are actually super simple and a great beginner project. I thought they'd be great for the coming spring season!
You'll need:
4.5mm hook (or any size really - it can be adjusted)
A little less than 100g of yarn (more if you'd like longer gloves or a bigger size)
The Pattern:
1) Chain 41 (more if you'd like longer, or less if you want them very short)
2) Single crochet in each chain across. Chain 1 and turn.
3) Now single crochet in each back loop across. Chain 1 and turn.
Repeat row three for 40 more rows, or until this rectangle almost fits around your hand (leave about an inch out because they stretch) For me this was 40 rows.
Now, turning the wrong way, put longer edges together and begin to slip stitch together until you reach your thumb (this for me was about 13 stitches down). Slip stitch in the next 10 stitches on ONLY ONE SIDE - the side doesn't matter. Then, continue to slip stitch both sides together.
Fasten off and tie in ends.
That's it! If you have any questions, please post them below in the comments or e-mail me at debbiejeansmade@hotmail.com
Happy crocheting!!!
