#Giveaway : The Juppy!

Welcome to my first review and giveaway! I have been given the wonderful opportunity to try a Juppy babywalker -  a new way for little ones to take their first steps without killing mom's or dad's back!

So we were given this Juppy to review with my 10 month old daughter, K,  who is on the verge of walking!K can stand on her own and bounce while standing, but hasn't quite put one foot in front of the other yet! She sort of does when using her front walker on wheels, stumbling along and sort of leaping forward (lol) but otherwise she still gets around by crawling.
So of course, we were excited to give the Juppy a try!

The first thing that I loved about it is that it’s personalized! You can have your child’s    name embroidered on it (as you can see on K’s), and choose either blue or pink lining!
Being  a girly girl, I of course chose pink!

The first thing I must say is, if you’ve used a jolly jumper bouncer with your little one, they may do just what my daughter did when I put her in the Juppy, start jumping!
The best way to get your little one started is to first stand them up on their own without holding the Juppy up, then guide their legs while holding the straps up. This is what worked best for our daughter anyway!
I found something she also enjoys is ‘riding’ on mommy’s feet while I walk!
The best thing about the Juppy as opposed to just holding your child’s hands in front of you as they walk is that it doesn’t strain your back!
I must also mention that it is a great arm workout for mom and dad!

If you’d like to know more about the Juppy, or to buy one, visit their site here!

Kids: Review - KidsEmail.org Safe e-mail for kids!

I was given the opportunity to review this site called KidsEmail.org, and am so thrilled that I did!
KidsEmail.org is a completely parent-controlled e-mail inbox for your little ones.
My 9 year old loves to e-mail back and forth with his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. Usually I spend a few minutes each morning screening his e-mails before he reads them, just in case !
But the great thing about kidsemail.org, is that you can set a 'safe list' of people that your child can receive e-mail from.
It also contains many other great features, such as:

  • Options
You choose what security features you want for your child. You can make it so that everything has to pass your eyes before theirs, or make it completely open for them (great for older kids, since you can still see their mails).

  • Parental mail queue
This feature allows you to screen your child's e-mails before you read them. You can see the entire mail, and if it seems good to you, you can have it forwarded to their inbox. You can also choose to have a message sent to the sender telling them that their e-mail has been put in queue!

  • Contact list
You can choose whether or not you want your child to only receive mail from people in their contact list or not. This keeps junk mails from being seen by little eyes that shouldn't! You ca also choose if you'd like your child to be able to edit their contact list or not.

  • Links
You can choose whether or not links will be active in e-mails.

  • Attachments
Choose whether or not to allow attachments to e-mails, or select only certain kinds of attachments to be allowed. This one is great not only for safety, but preventing viruses!

  • Outgoing e-mails
You can choose the option of your child  sending e-mails only to his or her contact list, or to anyone. A great feature!

  • 'Bad word' filter!
Choose if you'd like to filter out fowl language.

Your child also has the option to add great colorful backgrounds(just two are shown here, there are many!) to their e-mails, asnd customize their fonts and add emoctions to their hearts content (something my son loves!).

a view of the fun inbox!

With all these options, I think I'll be breathing a bit better knowing I can see what's going on in his inbox and have  a little more say in what goes on!
You can test out KidsEmail for free for 30 days without entering any payment info, and learn more about it, by clicking here. You can also watch the video below for a demo!
