My son picked this up at the library after hearing about the Lord of The Rings movies and wanting to watch them! I have actually never read it myself, but he's going through it on his own and enjoying it!
My husband and I watched the movie a few nights ago and enjoyed it. We felt our son could watch it (he's 9) and would like it but make it a rule that you have to read the book before the movie! So we will be reading it together!
My husband's parents bought this for our daughter (now 11 months old) for Christmas last year and she absolutely loves it! She spends a lot of her day bringing me books from it now to read again and again! The books feature classic nursery rhymes that are simple (just a few words on each page) and have cute pictures. The books are small for little hands also.
My mom got this for our daughter last Christmas too. She loves it now especially since she knows up and down! She happily puts her arms up and down every time it is mentioned in the book. It talks about the sun going up and down, Hoho the monkey jumping up and down with his jumprope, and Lulu the (rhino?) going up and down with her red balloon. The buttons make noises too which she very proudly presses now since she got the hang of it, and the set comes with a cute kai lan doll.
