On Our Bookshelf This Week 6/8/2012

My son is away at his grandparents house this week in the USA for a little vacation with them, so it's just me and my lil toddler girl reading this week. Here is what she's diving into (with moms help!)

My mother signed up K for this awesome Baby Einstein book club! Unfortunately they don't deliver to us Canadians, but she's having them sent to her and bringing them whenever she comes up! The first pack is awesome, and my daughter loves the books and games suggested by the company that come with them! Our first shipment also included a language cd, a tote bag, and both hard and soft cover books as well as a mini 'curriculum' to go along with them! Just visit here to check it out: http://www.earlymoments.com/Our-Products/Baby-Einstein-Playful-Discoveries/

My mom got my daughter this one too - a Kai Lan book that comes with big easy-to-hold crayons for little hands :) My daughter loves to color and loves Kai Lan from her other book, so of course she loves this one, and thinks it's pretty awesome she can color in it! She's too little (one 1!) to follow the instructions ("draw Mr. Sun") yet of course, but still likes to scribble, especilly on Kai Lan's hair (future stylist?)

We got this one at the library a few weeks ago and she points to it probably ten times a day, at which point we must read it ten times over :) She loves to lift the flaps in this French language book, and I love that we speak French while reading it (where we live French is a required language!). I couldn't find this one on Amazon, but found it here on bookdepository.com !

This one is also from the library and the French version of the English one I've seen. There are all sorts of fun pages with soft 'fur' to feel, a shiny collar to touch, and many different sensory-touch pages! all about looking for the authors dog! (In English : That's Not My Puppy )
