Connect With Your Child @1perfectdayblog
As I've been looking online for new activities to do with my kids and great homemaking tips (pssst - Pinterest is great for these!) I've really been discovering some awesome mom blogs!
One of my new favorites is oneperfectdayblog.net, in particular this small series of '10 Simple Ways To Connect With Your Child'.
Although this is old - she was originally posting one new step every week - I am going to go in order and use one new tip each week!
Wanna join me?
The first weeks tip is all about connecting with your child visually - as in looking them right in the eyes when they enter the room : see it here!
I thought this was something that I was pretty good with, but realized that when I'm rushing around cooking breakfast and doing dishes in the morning, I sometimes don't when my son comes downstairs. So I am making a strong effort this week to absolutely do that!
You can follow along with me every week, and get all the steps for yourself (I'm printing them out for my home binder - something I'm going to be sharing in the weeks to come!) :) by visiting:

Hoping your joining me !

My kids have special needs and I find that stopping and looking them straight in the eyes saves many headaches later. I have their attention. They want to listen and they focus. So basically if I give them my attention - they give me theirs.
